The Flounder

A long-standing restaurant with wooden booth seating serves fried catfish and other seafood. The Flounder Fish Camp is the upstate’s oldest “same” family-owned seafood restaurant still in operation. Spartanburg Magazine named it the best seafood restaurant in upstate South Carolina in 2008 and 2013. Arthur W. and Joann Toney built the Flounder in 1969. The Flounder is located at 160 Barbados Lane in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Since 1969, the Flounder has fed millions of people and is widely considered as the best seafood restaurant in the area. On Friday and Saturday, lines can be long during peak hours, but everyone agrees that the line goes quickly, the service is efficient, and the food is always delicious!
