The countdown to election day has begun in Spartanburg County, where voters will decide on critical positions in local and federal government offices, ranging from the presidency to local fire commissions. While the presidential race has dominated national news with an eventful summer of debates, security scares, and unexpected candidate changes, the local election scene has remained relatively calm since the statewide primary and runoff sealed the ballot.

Voter Registration and Election Information

Voters are encouraged to register before October 4th if registering in person at the Spartanburg County elections office. Online registrations will be accepted until October 6th, and mailed-in registrations must be postmarked no later than October 7th.

Early in-person voting will be open from October 21 to November 2. The last day to apply for an absentee by mail ballot is October 25. To verify your voter registration status, polling location, or view a sample ballot, visit the MySCVotes website. Election Day is scheduled for November 5.
