Multiple Independence Day Celebrations Planned Across Greenville, Spartanburg, and Anderson

Greenville, Spartanburg – Anderson Weekend Festivities

Greenville, Spartanburg, and Anderson have an all-embracing lineup of Independence Day festivities planned for residents. From fireworks displays, concerts, marathon runs to food carnivals, there are several ways to celebrate the birth of independence with family and friends across these cities.

Saturday, June 29 Events

The Greer Freedom Blast festival will take place from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the City Park, offering a slew of activities right from food and beverage stalls, skydiving, a military tribute to fireworks show that will commence at around 9:50 p.m.

Elsewhere, the city of Fountain Inn will be hosting their Fourth of July Fireworks Show starting at 6 p.m., promising a fun-filled family evening with live music, kid-friendly entertainment including laser tag and inflatable games. The fireworks start at sunset.

Over at the Big Water Marina & Campground in Starr, the Fourth of July Celebration & Fireworks Show will entertain visitors with live music, food, and fireworks from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Additionally, in the town of Williamston, folks can enjoy a free evening concert and fireworks from 5:30 p.m, aside from family-friendly daytime activities including a patriotic golf cart parade and a classic car cruise-in.

Sunday, June 30 Events

On Sunday, the symmetrically landscaped Heritage Park’s CCNB Amphitheatre in Simpsonville will host the Simply Freedom Festival from 6 p.m. This event will present live entertainment from pop icons – Smash Mouth, food and drinks, and a free fireworks display to close the show.

Meanwhile, at Downtown Iva starting from 6:30 p.m., the town will kick off its 4th of July celebration, where food vendors, inflatables for kids, face painting, and a live performance by the Combo Kings will light up the evening.

Wednesday, July 3 Events

The town of Laurens sets to host the Freedom Fest Independence Day concert downtown. Running from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., this event will feature live music, a Kidzone, food trucks, and of course, fireworks.

Clemson University and the City of Clemson are partnering to host the Light the Lake Free Firework show over Lake Hartwell, that will light up the sky from 9:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

On the afternoon of July 3rd, a free Fourth of July Cookout and Field Day will be held at Centerville Road in Anderson starting at noon. It offers a variety of activities from barbecue, adult field activities, music, swimming, and more.

Thursday, July 4 Events

July 4 will start with a bang as runners, cyclists and fitness enthusiasts participate in the Freedom Dream/Walk, a 5k/1k run/walk marathon at Grady’s Great Outdoors in Anderson echoing the spirit of freedom at 7:30 a.m.

The evening has a host of celebrations lined up across the two cities. Starting at 5 p.m., the Whitney 4th of July event hosted by 3Deemed Ministries is all set to entertain attendees with food, gospel singing, and fireworks.

The Great American Throwdown Independence Day event hosted by the FR8yrd starting at noon, the Red, White & Boom Independence Day Celebration presented by the City of Spartanburg at Barnet Park from 5:30 p.m. and the Independence Day at Greenville Drive at Fluor Field starting at 6:05 p.m., all have an evening filled with music, refreshments, and fireworks that will sweep attendees off their feet.

The festive gear is set and the cities are all prepped up to host an Independence Day that will stay etched in the memories of their residents for years to come. Make sure you carve out time on your calendar to drop by these events and soak in the spirit of Freedom.
