As per latest bulletins, renowned beverage manufacturer Keurig Dr Pepper is all set to inject a whopping $141 million into expanding their single-serve coffee roasting and manufacturing operations. And good news for the job hunters out there – this will also bring a promising 84 new jobs to Spartanburg County. Coffee lovers and future job seekers, rejoice!

More to Know About the Expansion

The fresh influx of investment will be funneled into KDP’s new site at 3220 Moore Duncan Highway in Moore. The primary focus will be on producing their next-generation K-Rounds. These are innovative, plastic-free coffee pods manufactured from premium coffee beans. The beans are expertly ground, pressed, and wrapped in a protective coating made from plant-based materials. This not only promises a great brew but also reinforces KDP’s commitment to a sustainable future.

Roger Johnson, the Chief Supply Chain Officer of Keurig Dr Pepper, reinforced their commitment to Spartanburg County. According to Johnson, “With this new investment, the KDP facility in Spartanburg will remain a key site representing our manufacturing and production innovation”. He expressed his gratitude towards both the state of South Carolina and county of Spartanburg for their ongoing support.

KDP’s beverage portfolio is fully loaded with a staggering 125 iconic brands encompassing carbonated, non-carbonated and caffeinated beverages. This includes fan favourites such Dr Pepper, Canada Dry, Mott’s, Snapple, and Core Hydration, as well as the beloved Keurig brewing system.

They are also distinctively known for their premium coffee brands like Green Mountain Coffee Roasters and The Original Donut Shop. Is it any wonder they are looking to expand their operations?

Weaving a Success Story in Spartanburg County

Spartanburg County has always been a hub for KDP’s flourishing operations. Their existing facility, which commenced work in 2019, currently employs ~285 people and continues to hire more.
