Spartanburg city goes into overdrive as residents stock up on supplies

Well, residents of Spartanburg, we’ve sure got a busy city on our hands, haven’t we? Since Friday, our neighbors have been heading out in droves, tanking up on gas and filling bags to the brim with non-perishable food items. It’s been hustle and bustle all around.

The queues are long friends, but that’s a sight for sore eyes. Despite the rush, many of our beloved stores managed to swing their doors wide open to welcome their loyal customers during these hectic times. So, for those of you still on the hunt, here’s a handy list of all located in our fair Spartanburg County that might serve as your next destination for ticks on your shopping list.

Know where to go

Strap yourself in, here’s a straight shot:

  • Sam’s Club on 200 Peachwood Center Drive.
  • Costco located at 211 W Blackstock Road.
  • Your familiar QuikTrip stationed at 7114 Lone Oak Road.
  • That handy RaceWay on 1697 Boiling Springs Road.
  • And finally the Valero at 640 New Cut Road.

But don’t worry, this isn’t where the list ends. All Target stores in the Upstate and Asheville have swung their doors open and most Food Lion stores located in the Upstate are up and running as well. In case you’re wondering, you can find their current hours of operation on the Food Lion website.

Good news continues as officials in Greenwood just announced that most businesses on Bypass 72 are brimful with essentials and open for business. And hey, while we’re at it, did you know that most Publix stores in the Upstate and WNC region are also sticking to their normal hours? Talk about commitment!

A handful of fall home improvement ideas

With the change in season, it’s prime time to give your homes a little spruce up. Confused about where to start? Allow us to help! Most fall home improvement ideas are affordable and simple to execute. For starters, grab some of The Pioneer Woman’s adorable pumpkin bakeware. Nothing like the smell of freshly baked goodies to invoke that holiday spirit, right?

Prepping your patch

Another task you might consider tackling this fall is lawn prep. It might not sound exciting but trust us, your lawn will thank you when the cold starts to bite. Give it a nourishing pre-winter treatment – make sure the grass is short and tidy up your flower beds. Trust us, your lawn will be ready to bounce back come spring.

So, there you have it folks. Keep your spirits high, stand in solidarity with your community, take one day at a time. We’ll bounce back stronger together.
