The Carolinas have always been known for their resilience, and this week, they’re showcasing their spirit of solidarity with an entertaining and tasty benefit event. This Saturday in downtown Spartanburg, Rockers Brewing Co. is hosting the Rock and Brews for Hope: A Benefit Concert and Beer Festival for the Carolinas. The event will run from noon until 8 p.m., with the aim of raising funds for ongoing recovery efforts in the aftermath of the damaging Helene storm.
The damage from Helene is still evident more than a month after it ravaged the Carolinas, but the region’s fighting spirit is unbroken. And this benefit concert is a testament to just that.
Take note of this, folks. There will be a stunning lineup of 24 musical acts, offering a mix of genres to suit every taste. Among these featured acts is the popular band, Bad Bart. The event promises to be a fun-filled day of melody and ale, all for a great cause.
It’s not all about the music and drinks. The main goal of this gathering is to raise money for the ongoing Helene recovery efforts. The United Way of the Piedmont will be the beneficiary of the proceeds raised from the beer sales and festival tickets. The need in the wake of Helene is still very much present, and community events like these are essential in meeting it.
Yes, this event is a celebration of the resilience of the people of the Carolinas. But it’s also an opportunity to assist with relief efforts. The organizers are ensuring that everyone enjoys their time at the festival, while also making a difference.
The Rockers Brewing Co‘s General Manager, Sabina Martinaka, shared, “There will be 24 musical acts playing inside on our stage and out on the dock. We had a lot of our beer friends in the Upstate and North Carolina affected by Helene. We wanted to do something to help.”
This festival isn’t just about having a great time. You will be contributing to a worthy cause just by buying a glass of beer. With more than eight local breweries participating, including the New Groove Artisan Brewery and Cicolps Cyderi and Brewery, Rockers Brewing Co will donate $1 from every pint and specialty cocktail sold, alongside proceeds from the beer festival tickets to the United Way of the Piedmont.
Despite the destruction caused by Helene, the people of the Carolinas have shown that with unity and resilience, nothing is impossible, and the Rock and Brews for Hope is a beacon of that spirit. So head on down to downtown Spartanburg and take part in this worthy cause, enjoy good music, and drink great beer.
You don’t want to miss this aggregation festival – remember, the date is Nov. 3, and the event kicks off at noon. It’s about lending a helping hand and having a good time while doing it.
