Bridge City Coffee Announces Expansion to Spartanburg
Leading Greenville-based coffee roaster is branching out to Spartanburg
Spartanburg, SC
– The Greenville-based specialty coffee roaster, Bridge City Coffee, has revealed plans to open its latest venue in Spartanburg. Initial reports on social media by the roaster on May 16 made public this expansion, with fans speculating possible venues, guesses varying from Verdae Boulevard all the way to Canada. However, Bridge City Coffee confirmed its bridge to Spartanburg will be located along Reidville Road, in conjunction with Parkside Pediatrics.
Expected Opening in June
This new venture is set for an opening on June 5. The Bridge City Coffee owner, Greg Ward, expressed his gratitude towards Parkside Pediatrics for their collaboration, as their support allowed them to secure their new location. “They’ve been incredibly encouraging in allowing us to come into the space,” said Ward. “It’s front and center in the building and we’re working towards accomplishing more partnerships like this, aligning with their mission of improving the city and making Greenville a better place.”
Parkside Pediatrics operates seven locations in the Upstate, with another one under development. In line with this, the forthcoming Spartanburg venue will serve as a grab-and-go site initially, reflecting the collaborative nature of Spartanburg’s new establishment, similar to the Bridge City Coffee shop located at the intersection in downtown Greenville’s First Presbyterian Church. Nevertheless, if demand justifies it, they aim to transition this location to a sit-down cafe.
Fourth Location in Upstate
This expansion in the heart of Spartanburg, at 2430 Reidville Road, will provide Bridge City Coffee with its fourth Upstate location – two in Greenville, one in Travelers Rest, and the newly announced one in Spartanburg.
As Bridge City Coffee continues to flourish in the Upstate, it persistently seeks ways to collaborate with local entities and contribute individually to the community. While these new openings and collaborations strengthen the coffee industry, they also support local areas like Spartanburg, driving economic expansion and promoting a thriving community.
