Spartanburg, S.C. – The local police department in Spartanburg is presently seeking help from the public to aid in identifying a potential suspect in relation to a recent burglary. The targeted location is Sake Sushi and Hibachi, a popular restaurant on East Main Street.
On July 24, the law enforcement officers received a call concerning a burglary at the restaurant at 1524 East Main Street. Upon their arrival at the crime scene, they discovered broken glass on the door. The suspected burglar had apparently used a rock to shatter the glass door in an attempt to gain unauthorized entry into the establishment.
Further damage was identified inside the restaurant, where it was found that two cash registers had been tampered with. In an unexpected discovery, part of the security system was found submerged in a fish tank. This peculiar discovery has left authorities questioning the motive or strategy behind such unconventional behavior.
The officers collected two fingerprints from the crime scene that promise to be crucial evidence in the investigation. The discovered prints are presently undergoing a meticulous forensic analysis. The investigation team believes that the same individual might be connected to other business break-ins that occurred in Spartanburg during the month of July.
The Spartanburg Police Department has appealed for local citizens to come forth if they have any information that might assist in the identification of the potential burglary suspect. Information which directly leads to the successful arrest and conviction of the burglar will lead to the eligible party receiving a reward. The details have not been specified at this stage.
Individuals with knowledge or tips are asked to contact the Spartanburg Police Department at either 864-591-4364 or 864-591-4379. They are asked to provide the reference case number C24070689 when reporting the information. The police department insists on the confidentiality of the informants and encourages the community to be proactive in their efforts to help with the issue.
The Spartanburg Police Department is working diligently to secure the safety and security of businesses in the area. The recent incidents of burglary have been significant cause for concern. Until the culprit is captured and brought to justice, the police urge business owners to be vigilant and take necessary precautions to prevent further break-ins.
