It’s all happening in Spartanburg! Today, the city got a high-octane wakeup call as the Hub City Corvette Club cruised into the Camperdown Plaza. But these guys aren’t just about burning rubber and shiny cars; they are all about supporting their community. Partnering with the local Humane Society, these petrolheads showed up with more than just their super-fly rides.
Membership of the Corvette Club seems to require two things– a snazzy ride and an equally awesome pet. Yes, each club member has a wagging, purring, or tweeting best friend at home and they wanted to do something special to help the local Humane Society. Today is all about celebrating animals and helping them find their forever homes.
Talking of forever homes, let’s introduce Jodi. She’s a 3-year-old Great Pyrenees who’s currently looking for a new family. And boy, isn’t she a beauty queen? You can find out more about her and other gorgeous pets up for adoption at the Spartanburg Humane Society.
If you love cars and animals as much as we do, clear your calendar for tomorrow, Saturday, September 7. The Corvette Club and the Humane Society are hosting “Vettes for Pets Car Show and Live Adoption.” It’s as exciting as it sounds folks; Corvette vehicles, pets, adoptions, and did we mention fun?
The event is scheduled from 9 am to 2 pm at 1051 Asheville Highway. And it’s going to be action-packed! Aside from oodles of dream cars and adorable adoptable pets, there will also be tasty food trucks, splendid vendors, and awesome prizes.
Now, if you’re a foodie, the aroma of delicious grub from the food trucks are sure to draw you in. And when you’re done drooling over Corvettes, stop by the vendors who will have everything from modern kitchen gadgets any cook would be excited about to the latest wireless earbuds that rival Apple’s.
Did you know it’s essential to dethatch your lawn when it’s at its peak strength? Some vendors will be selling time-saving gadgets perfect for the task. So, you can learn all about it while enjoying a day out at the car show.
So guys, come on, let’s turn up, help out, and have fun. Remember, it’s more than just a day out in Spartanburg; it’s a chance to give these adorable pets a new home and a new family.
