Boiling Springs, SC – Ensuring an exciting start to their launch, Clutch Coffee Bar, a drive-through coffee establishment originally hailing from North Carolina, has announced that they will be handing out free coffee on the first day of operation at their new Boiling Springs location.
The inaugural event is set to happen on August 17 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 2209 Boiling Springs Road. Customers can enjoy a small 16-ounce coffee, absolutely free of charge per visit, with no limits on the number of visits. The grand opening will also feature live music, including a DJ, and numerous giveaways throughout the day.
Clutch Coffee Bar co-founder Darren Spicer cites the company’s dedication to community involvement as a driving force for expanding to Boiling Springs. “We really look for communities that have a community feel, and it’s not just a pass through,” he says. “I think we see that and feel that with Boiling Springs.”
The opening is expected to generate at least 30 job opportunities, and could increase to around 45, promising a significant local economic impact. As part of their commitment to fair trade practices, all their coffee offerings are fair-trade certified. In addition to coffee, the menu includes caramel macchiato, iced lattes, flavored-infused energy drinks, teas, smoothies, and an assortment of pastries.
Founded in 2018, Clutch Coffee Bar is rapidly spreading across the Carolinas with this being its third location in the Upstate and 13th overall. Having opened a branch in Greenville in August 2023 and multiple spots in the Midlands, the company plans to broaden its reach to the Lowcountry soon, with a Charleston location projected to open in early 2025.
Aside from serving quality coffee, Clutch distinguishes itself by striving for unmatched service efficiency, often drawing comparisons to Chick-fil-A. Spicer expressed that Clutch is about “an experience, a feeling, and a great product.”
As part of their community involvement approach, Clutch Coffee Bar has been actively participating in charity work within the areas they serve. It recently provided free coffee to local high school faculty, marking the first of many planned contributions to Boiling Springs. Spicer emphasizes that such contributions not only do right by the community but also build relationships that belies a mere chain coffee business facade.
All in all, Boiling Springs residents have many reasons to look forward to Clutch Coffee Bar’s opening. As the community continues to grow rapidly, Clutch promises to offer not only a place for great coffee but also a hub for community connection and interaction.
