New Pavilion Opens in Downtown Inman for Summer Concerts

INMAN, S.C. – A Game Changer for Local Entertainment Scene

In a breakthrough in the city’s entertainment landscape, Downtown Inman is ready to welcome a spectacular new pavilion, which will facilitate outdoor concerts. This impressive development concludes the use of porta potties and rented stages for the known Music on Mill series. The events spotlight will now shift to this permanent venue. City Administrator Joe Lanahan expressed his enthusiasm about the completion of this decade-long dream – “We are standing under a decade worth of vision.”

Pavilion Details and Features

The project, which is worth $1.5 million, is due to significantly enhance the downtown experience. The pavilion provides several modern conveniences, including a restroom, a water bottle filler, and even a newly installed ATM, marking a significant first for downtown Inman. This is the first public ATM to be installed in this area. “The bathroom is available, there is a water bottle filler and a water bottle in the back, and as well as an ATM machine. We brought an ATM back to downtown; we currently didn’t have a public ATM but now we have a permanent one in our facility”, Lanahan commented.

Expected Impact on Local Businesses

Local business owners are hopeful about the pavilion’s potential impact on the town. Graci Bohon, from Gracie’s Boutique said, “I think it’s going to bring a lot of people from out of town to see what Inman has, and a lot of businesses are going to stay open past hours as well.”

Next Steps and Inaugural Event

Lanahan looks forward to the inauguration of the stage. “Now we have these beautiful permanent facilities to work with. Friday night will be the first night we get to see it live with our kick-off to Music on Mill and our traditional opener Back Nine. We’re excited to see that and see how the parking lot operates. We’ve gained about 25 feet of parking lot back for more guests so they can be closer to the stage.” Back Nine band is all set to initiate the free concert series this Friday night at 6 PM.

The upcoming schedule for the series includes Silver Travis on June 14th at 6 PM, A1A on June 21st at 6 PM, and The Tams on June 28th at 6 PM. The new developments in Downtown Inman are sure to provide residents and visitors with lush experiences and thrilling summer evenings.
