A standout occasion on the community calendar, Duncan-based AFL commemorated its 40th anniversary last week not just with cake and candles, but with a philanthropic initiative that truly demonstrated their dedication!
To kickstart the AFL Foundation, AFL committed itself to an initial investment of $10 million! The collaboration with the Spartanburg County Foundation is just the beginning, as AFL plans to reinforce their culture of community engagement and leave positive imprints both locally and globally.
For years, AFL has woven itself into the fabric of the community, getting involved in volunteer projects, establishing scholarships and grants, and coming through with donations during times of disaster recovery. This foundation is set to complement and expand on their already significant efforts.
President and CEO of the Spartanburg County Foundation, Troy M. Hanna, expressed the organization’s pleasure and honor in facilitating the AFL Foundation’s corporate philanthropy. This partnership strengthens AFL’s dedication to a culture of giving and making a positive difference in people’s lives, offering resources to areas where impacts can be most profoundly felt.
Further enriching the community legacy, AFL intends to use the Spartanburg County Foundation’s history of charitable administration and expertise for magnifying its global philanthropic impact. This new initiative positions AFL to create sustainable and positive changes to make life better in communities where associates live and work.
“Establishing The AFL Foundation honors our four decades of significant community focus and ensures our continued civic engagement for the next 40 years and beyond,” said Jaxon Lang, AFL president, and CEO. He further highlighted their commitment not just to celebrating their past but pledging to their future.
Founded in 1984, AFL has become a leading light on the international manufacturing scene, providing end-to-end solutions to the energy, service provider, enterprise, hyperscale, and industrial markets. AFL’s sizable presence in Duncan has kept it at the heart of the community, forming significant relationships with locals and beyond.
Now, with the launch of the AFL Foundation, they have reinforced their commitment to the community, promising to make a positive impact for years to come. This 40th-anniversary celebration was more than an important milestone for AFL; it served as a pledge for ongoing community betterment and global engagement.
Cheers to AFL for 40 years of sterling service and to the bright future of the AFL Foundation!
