As they consistently outshone opposing teams, the credibility of Dutch Fork’s undefeated record (12-0) has been proven once again. “Itโs just a testament to our preparedness and the work we put in during the week, and then how we execute on game days,โ said Dutch Fork linebacker and USC signee, Josh Smith. The players take immense pride in their record-breaking defense, citing it as “the best defense Dutch Fork has ever seen.”
Summerville: A New Challenge

A Lookback at the Semifinal
The Silver Foxes’ defense demonstrated their might right from the start, limiting the Vikings to a mere 75 yards in the first half and 161 yards for the game. Smith and defensive end Julian Walker ensured that Spartanburg finished the match with just seven first downs. Yet another impressive feat was Dutch Fork’s six sacks and eight tackles for loss, crushing Spartanburg’s offensive attempts.

This early momentum carried through to their second drive, and in no time, they were leading the game 14-0. The domination continued as they added a field goal and another touchdown, sealing their victory at 24-0. The Dutch Fork offense deserves a special mention with Offing finishing 15 of 21 passing for 267 yards and rushing for 93 yards, while Bickley had four catches for 164 yards.
“The two long passes to Bickley sort of set the tone,โ said Knotts. They entered the match prepared and backed up their reputation as one of the best defenses in school history.
