Flying Biscuit Café to Open in Downtown Spartanburg by Fall 2024

Beloved southeastern diner, Flying Biscuit Café, has announced plans to open a new location in downtown Spartanburg by the fall of 2024. The Morgan Square section of downtown Spartanburg is anticipated to be the new home of this brunch favorite.

Relocating to the Heart of Spartanburg

The new restaurant will be located at 121 W. Main St., a spot previously occupied by the Tulip Tree restaurant, which closed shop earlier in 2024. This space resides right in the epicenter of the city’s vibrant dining scene. The decision to move into this location further bolsters the community’s optimism about future growth in the dining sector.

A Brunch Favorite

Since opening its doors in Atlanta in 1993, the Flying Biscuit Café has risen to popularity due to its mouth-watering southern-style menu. Featuring egg-centric dishes, seafood options like shrimp and grits, a savory-sweet combo of chicken and waffles, and its famous homemade biscuits, the joint has been a hit across the board.

The restaurants across the franchise manage to bake almost 5,000 biscuits weekly at each of their 35 plus locations. Flying Biscuit Cafe truly lives up its name, delivering fluffy, fresh biscuits to the Southern states and beyond.

Expanding Its Reach in South Carolina

The addition to downtown Spartanburg will place the Flying Biscuit Café as the fifth franchise across South Carolina and second in the Upstate area. This upcoming location will join the ranks with its sibling restaurant in downtown Greenville, located at 656 S. Main St.

The diner franchise, maintaining a firm presence across the South, oversees over 35 locations spanning Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas. This expansion into Spartanburg continues the brand’s steadfast growth across these states.

A Welcome Addition to Spartanburg’s Dining Scene

With the new Flying Biscuit Café set to open in the fall of 2024, locals and tourists alike will soon be able to taste the brand’s iconic dishes without having to travel far. For the community in downtown Spartanburg, this addition means more options for brunch aficionados, Southern food lovers, and everyone in between.
