Greenville will be the new setting for an upcoming town hall featuring former President Donald Trump alongside conservative television host Laura Ingraham. Originally slated for Spartanburg, the live taping of Trump’s appearance on The Ingraham Angle has been relocated to the Greenville Convention Center at 1 Exposition Drive. This last-minute venue change comes as a surprise to many, with the event initially planned to take place at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium.
A spokesperson from Fox News cited the proximity of the original venue to an early voting center for the South Carolina Republican Primary as the reason behind the relocation. The early voting center at 366 North Church St in Spartanburg, situated just across the street from the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium, prompted the last-minute switch to Greenville.
The one-hour town hall is scheduled to commence taping at 2:45 p.m., with the televised broadcast set to air later the same day at 7 p.m. The program aims to delve into various domestic and foreign policy challenges confronting America, while also exploring potential solutions. Attendees in the live audience will have the opportunity to pose questions to the former president and the host.
The town hall will touch on the impact of a new coalition of voters on the upcoming presidential election, as well as shifts in polling trends among minority groups favoring former President Trump. Additionally, the discussion is anticipated to cover Trump’s legal battles, the remaining primary contests, his potential choice for a vice-presidential nominee, and other current events.
