Hot Meals on Wheels: An Initiative for College Kids in Spartanburg

Hey there Spartanburg! There’s some good news heading your way this week. The Purpose Place, a popular community hub in our neck of the woods, has announced a yummy initiative. They’ll be doling out hot meals to college students at Wofford College, Converse College, and USC Upstate.

If you’re on one of these campuses, note down the timing: the food delivery will occur between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Isn’t it just nice to have a warm meal waiting for you right after those grueling classes?

Something extra for the Foodies

Well, it’s not just the college students who are in for a treat. There’s more exciting news for everyone else. The Purpose Place will also host food trucks on the same day. So, if you’re around, hop over between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Oh, and bring along a hearty appetite!

The Purpose Place cordially invites all to “Come and purchase a hot meal and spend some time in fellowship”. Isn’t it lovely to have such a warm and inviting space in our community? It’s the perfect chance to taste some good food and catch up with friends and neighbors.

Featuring Food Trucks

And guess who’s bringing their food trucks to the event? None other than our favorites, Charlene’s and J&S Wings. For all those not in the know, Charlene’s serves between 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., while J&S Wings will be there from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Boy, does that sound like a gastronomic delight or what!
