In a huge victory for local sports culture, Spartanburg Professional Baseball Club has introduced its brand new identity, the Hub City Spartanburgers. This took place at a community celebration on Saturday evening, which occurred in collaboration with the city of Spartanburg at the future site of Fifth Third Park. This new home for the team is scheduled to be open in the year 2025.
The chosen name, the Hub City Spartanburgers, illuminates Spartanburg’s significant historic role as a major railroad hub between the early 1850s and 1936. This was a defining period that shaped the growth and evolution of the city. The logo and branding aims to join the past and the present, combining the city’s remarkable history with its bright prospects.
General manager of the Hub City Spartanburgers, Tyson Jeffers announced, “Hub City Spartanburgers is an indication of our heritage and an exciting new chapter in Spartanburg baseball. We’re very excited to see our community supporting this team.”

Amid more corporate news, Greenville, South Carolina-based AMECO, a supplier of site support services for capital construction projects and operating plants, has welcomed a new member to its leadership team. Industry veteran Katie Linden has joined the firm as chief commercial officer.
