The mammoth investment of $141 million will not just satiate your caffeine cravings, but also bring good news to the job market. This venture is all set to create a whopping 84 new jobs. Definitely a reason to cheer for those of us seeking fresh opportunities in these challenging times!

KDP: More Than Just Coffee

If you’re not much of a coffee-drinker, worry not. The company is known for its huge portfolio of 125 iconic brands, including carbonated and non-carbonated beverages such as Dr Pepper, Canada Dry, Mott’s, Snapple, and Core Hydration, not forgetting our all-time favorite Keurig brewing system. Their famous brands, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters and The Original Donut Shop, are loved by coffee enthusiasts everywhere.

The Future of Coffee Is Here

Already employing approximately 285 people at their current Spartanburg County facility, which commenced operations back in 2019, KDP is all set to expand further. The new site slated for completion is located at 3220 Moore Duncan Highway in Moore. What’s exciting is that it will host production for the companyโ€™s next-generation K-Rounds, which are essentially plastic-free coffee pods. They’re made from top-notch coffee beans that are ground, pressed, and wrapped in a protective, plant-based coating. So, you can enjoy your coffee without worrying about the environmental impact.

Commendable Support from Local Government Bodies

Roger Johnson, the Chief Supply Chain Officer at Keurig Dr Pepper, couldn’t be more grateful for the impressive, ongoing support extended to them by the state of South Carolina and county of Spartanburg. The project has also secured job development credits from the Coordinating Council for Economic Development, with the council further awarding a $450,000 Set-Aside grant to Spartanburg County to assist with the costs of building improvements.
