Hey there folks, it seems we’ve got some sad news to report out of Spartanburg, South Carolina. A motorcyclist unfortunately lost his life this Monday morning after he crashed into a car on Bomar Avenue and South Church Street.
This unfortunate incident took place right around the time of morning hustle bustle – 10.30 a.m., right at the heart of the city. Everyone involved was surely heading about their usual day and little did they know how it was gonna turn out.
So here’s the lowdown on what happened: A sedan driver was making a left turn onto Bomar Avenue from South Church Street. Simultaneously, the motorcyclist, who was traveling north on South Church Street, ended up plowing into the car smack in the middle of the intersection. Police have laid the blame on the sedan driver for not giving the right of way to the motorcycle.
According to witnesses at the site, the impact was so powerful that the motorcyclist was separated from the bike and died right on the scene. The motorcyclist has been identified as 53-year-old Billy Keith Stevens from Roebuck.
Not surprisingly, the driver of the sedan has been charged with failing to yield the right of way which, in this situation, led to a tragic result. Accidents like this are a reminder for all of us to pay close attention while on road, regardless whether we’re driving a car, riding a motorcycle, or simply crossing the road.
We’re obviously awaiting more updates as they come in, but as of now, we know that a forensic exam of the accident scene is scheduled for Tuesday. As friends and family mourn the loss of Billy Keith Stevens, we want to remind ourselves and others to always exercise caution and put safety first when out on the streets.
Shifting gears to a completely different topic, Black Friday is right around the corner, and it seems like the deals are pouring in. Tablets, cookware, bakeware, mugs, you name it – the discounts are everywhere!
And while we’re at it, let’s talk about something fun – road trips! Road trips are an awesome way to explore new areas, giving you more flexibility and control over your travel plans. Plus, road tripping with friends? Now that’s a whole bucket of fun right there!
We’re gonna keep this thread updated with more news as we go along, so stick around folks!
