The city of Spartanburg is set to host numerous exciting live musical performances this September, providing locals and visitors with the perfect send-off to the summer season

On the 1st of September, the renowned public venue, FR8yard, will host a Labor Day Yard Party titled Labor Dazed. Musical performances by the High Tides, Clean-Up Crew, and Jesse Velvet will be featured on the FR8yard stage. Other exciting activities including a ping pong and cornhole tournament will also be held. The event will kick off at noon and run till 10 p.m.
On Wednesday, September 4, FR8yard will present the David Giles Trio, consisting of artists David Giles, Jeff Perry, and Lee Dill. Expect an evening dedicated to the music of legendary artists like James Taylor, The Alman Brothers, The Doobie Brothers, and Bill Withers. The event will start at 6:30 p.m.
The much-anticipated “One Night of Queen” will be performed by Gary Mullen and The Works on September 4. This event serves as a tribute to the iconic band’s ‘The Works Tour’ and will be held at Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium beginning at 8 p.m.
Mojo on Max, proudly known for their eclectic mix of blues, funk, folk, soul, jazz, and country, will perform on September 5 at FR8yard.
The group known for daring to play everything from classic hair metal to pop rock and funk will grace the stage at Fretwell on September 6.
Spartanburg-based singer-songwriter Marc Higgins takes the stage with his band, The Chainsaw Bears, at RJ Rockers Brewing Company on Saturday, Sept. 7. The concert begins at 6:30 p.m.
Head to Fretwell on the 12th of September for Jam Night, featuring father and son duo, The Smokey Beans. They are known for their unique re-imagination of classic songs from the 60s and 70s.
With a lineup that includes covers of Grateful Dead and Ryan Adams, Clay Johnson and The Hard Promises are ready to thrill audiences at RJ Rockers Brewing Company on September 13.
An influential Tejano/Norteno music group, Intocable will light the stage on September 20 at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium. Formed 25 years ago in Zapata, Texas by Ricky Munoz and Rene Martinez, Intocable’s performance is a must-see.
Local band Cross Eyed Betty, renowned for reliving old classics by Led Zeppelin and The Beatles, will play at RJ Rockers Brewing Company on the 21st of September.
