Pacolet Man Arrested for Child Sexual Exploitation as More Victims are Feared

Pacolet Man Arrested Over Child Sexual Exploitation

A man in Pacolet, South Carolina, has been apprehended and charged on grounds of sexual exploitation of a minor and criminal solicitation of a minor. The authorities have indicated a strong likelihood that there could be more potential victims.

Details of the Arrest

The local county sheriff’s office was successful in detaining 65-year-old, Timothy Curtis Goode, resident of Bryant Road, following a brave disclosure from a minor victim and his mother. Deputies disclosed that Goode had employed the minor for yard work and landscaping at his residence. Shockingly, once the child’s work was completed, Goode is said to have lured the young boy into his house and pressured him to expose himself. Detailed allegations state that Goode not only photographed the minor inappropriately but also engaged in undue physical contact with him. The incident apparently ended with the child being offered drinks and snacks.

Investigation and Discoveries

To gather more evidence, the officers executed a search warrant for Goode’s smartphone. As per their account, they discovered explicit photos of the victim and another unidentified young male. The unidentified boy, they suspect, might be a Greenville County resident. Given the nature of the crime and the discovery of photographs of another unidentified minor, the law enforcement authorities are of strong belief that there may exist more victims of Goode who are yet to come forward. His charges currently stand at eight counts each of criminal solicitation of a minor and sexual exploitation of a minor.

A Call for Affected Parties to Step Forward

The gravity of the situation has urged the authorities to request anyone who may have information about Goode or his activities to come forward. As per the sheriff’s office, individuals with any relevant information can contact Investigator Michael Hatch part of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force via his direct line at (864) 503-4509. This initiative aims to create a safe space for potential victims and witnesses to share their experiences, in hopes of building a strong case against the suspect.

As the enclave of Pacolet, South Carolina processes the shock of this revelation, the community members are rallying to support the victim and his family. Authorities are asking for respect for the family’s privacy during this trying time.

Closing Note

While the charges against Goode are substantial, they are still allegations. The ongoing investigation will ascertain the complete facts and extent of his involvement. Should anyone have any information that can contribute to the investigation, they are strongly urged to reach out to the authorities discretely and promptly.
