Pet of the Week: Pierce
SPARTANBURG, S.C. — The spotlight falls on a captivating creature every week in our city’s humane society — our beloved Pet of the Week. This week, the title goes to Pierce, a two-month-old mix of hound and retriever who’s eagerly awaiting to join a loving family.
A Puppy Full of Life
Pierce is a bundle of boundless energy, quite typical of a playful, curious puppy you would expect at his age. But there’s something distinct about this little guy. Despite his tender age, Pierce carries a composed demeanor, a charming personality that instantly shines through. His golden brown coat and sparkling eyes just add to his overall allure. Interestingly, Pierce has an almost identical brother who too resides at the humane society — two peas in a pod, if we may!
Ready for Adoption
Pierce has already been neutered and microchipped and is ready to be adopted, so there’s nothing that can hold you back from welcoming this sweet boy into your home. His adoption comes at a fee of $195, which includes a host of benefits that promise to ease Pierce’s transition into his new home and life.
Inclusions in the Adoption Package
The adoption package includes six nights of boarding at Southport Kennel and five days of daycare at Hounds Town. It’s a great deal that also ensures Pierce’s first few days in his new environment are as comfortable as possible. Not to mention, an engraved tag from Paisley Paw is also thrown in, a small yet heartfelt representation to mark the beginning of Pierce’s new journey.
The package also incorporates a preventive measure for Pierce’s health, including six months of heartworm prevention. Nonprofit administrations are responsible for arranging the rabies vaccine when Pierce hits his 4-month mark, and the adopter will receive a voucher for this in the package.
How to Adopt
If this lovable young hound-retriever mix has already stolen your heart or if there’s another furry friend you’ve been eyeing, the next step would be a visit to Spartanburg’s Humane Society at 150 Dexter Road. It’s a supportive and welcoming setup where any animal-oriented individual would feel at home. You can also view all the dogs and cats at the humane society online.
Spread the Love
For those interested in giving these innocent souls the love and care they deserve, a simple gesture could change a pet’s life. Even if adoption may not be a feasible choice, there are numerous other ways to contribute, from volunteering at the local humane society to spreading awareness about the need to provide homes to the otherwise homeless pets.
So, whether it’s about adopting this bouncing boy Pierce or contributing to the cause in your own way, every initiative counts. Stay tuned to HERE News Network to meet our next Pet of the Week!
