Piedmont Community Unites to Donate Over $86,000 for Families Affected by Helene

Piedmont Leads The Way With Generous Donation To Affected Families

Friends, it’s time for another community update – and it’s a heartwarming one. We’ve heard some inspiring news about a small town making a genuinely huge impact. Piedmont has shown us the real power of community spirit as The United Way of Piedmont makes a significant contribution to families in need.

According to latest reports, they intend to donate over $86,000 to families in Cherokee, Spartanburg, and Union Counties affected by the unfortunate circumstances set by Helene.

The United for All Fund

But they’re not stopping at just donating; they’re organizing it as well. The donated sum will be distributed via the new initiative called the ‘United for All Fund’. The fund is aimed at providing vital support to those in desperate need of shelter, food, and financial assistance in these trying times. It’s also going to deal with the pressing needs our community is currently facing.

Work is already underway to ensure this assistance reaches the right people. The United Way of Piedmont is coordinating with local partners and their Community Resource Coordinators (CRCs) to find the families most in need, ensuring that the monetary aid goes where it’s needed the most. The initiative ensures relief efforts are both targeted and impactful, so every penny counts!

How Can You Get Involved?

If you or anyone you know are in need of help, or simply want to find out more, you can reach out. Contact is as simple as a phone call to 864- 860-1644. If you’re more of a texter, there’s an easy option too – simply text “HELP” to “AYUDA” to 211-211. There’s help available and it’s just a dial— or a click—away.

Our community has shown overwhelming strength and compassion in these testing times. This news serves as a timely reminder that when we come together and support each other, we can overcome even the greatest challenges.

The $86,000 donation from The United Way of Piedmont is not only going to impact families and individuals in need, but it’s also proof of what we can accomplish as a community. Never underestimate the power of unity, folks!

Remember, direct action can make a difference. And The United for All Fund is not just about the big things – it’s also about every single dish, every single helping hand, and every single communal action that’s making life a little bit easier for those affected.

Stay safe, take care of each other, and remember that we are in this together. Here’s to the strength of the human spirit and the unparalleled power of our community, and may it continue to shine brightly in the face of adversity.
