SPARTANBURG, a popular restaurant in Spartanburg found itself the recent target of burglary. Local authorities are now seeking help from the public to identify the culprit and bring them to justice.
The Spartanburg Police Department reported that officers responded to a burglary call on July 24. The incident occurred at Sake Sushi and Hibachi, located at 1524 East Main Street in Spartanburg. Upon arriving at the scene, officers noted that the business door’s glass had been shattered using a rock.
The cash registers within the restaurant were tampered with, adding to a scene of chaos. The officers also found parts of the establishment’s security system discarded inside a fish tank, apparently in a bid by the thief to avoid identification.
Despite the calculated attempts to erase any traces of their crime, the officers did find two fingerprints at the crime scene which were promptly collected as evidence. These crucial pieces of evidence could potentially lead to the identification of the suspect.
In addition to this break-in, it is suspected that the same individual could be tied to a string of other business burglaries reported within the area throughout July.
In light of the situation, the Spartanburg Police Department earnestly asks the public for their assistance. Anyone who has information about the burglary or potential suspects is strongly encouraged to reach out to authorities at 864-591-4364 or 864-591-4379. When contacting the police, members of the public are advised to reference case number C24070689.
A cash reward of up to $1,000 is being offered by law enforcement to anyone who provides information leading to the identification and apprehension of the suspect. The authorities hope the incentive will encourage persons with knowledge of the crime to come forward, aiding in the quick resolution of the case.
As the investigation continues, Spartanburg businesses are urged to take extra precautions to secure their premises, safeguarding against potential burglaries.
Ensuring the safety and security of the community remains a top priority for the Spartanburg Police Department. They continue to investigate this crime rigorously, promising that justice will be served.
Information given to authorities will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
