Spartanburg Shines: Community Career Family Day at Tech Center

Hey there, Spartanburg folks! There’s something exciting coming up. The Daniel Morgan Technology Center is gearing up to host an engaging Community Career Family Day on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm. If you don’t have plans yet, then get ready for an afternoon of food, fun, and learning.

Who doesn’t love a good food truck? Amazing local bites will be rolling their way to the event. And that’s not all, sweet surprises are also in store with some fantastic prize giveaways. So bring your family and your appetites – there’s bound to be something for everyone!

Humbled by Demand

The tech center has been experiencing an impressive swell of interest in its courses, with a whopping 200-student increase in enrollment. They’re thrilled to be offering vital tech education to more students, and they’re eager to share what makes their programs shine at the upcoming Family Day.

This event isn’t just about food and games – it’s also a showcase of the excellent programs DMTC provides. From Cybersecurity and Welding to Cosmetology, there are plenty of paths for curious students. You’ll have the opportunity to explore these offerings and perhaps even discover a new passion or career path.

Run jointly by Spartanburg 3 and Spartanburg 7, the Daniel Morgan Technology Center has a mission we can all get behind. Their goal is to arm their students with academic, technical, and decision-making skills that will serve them at the post-secondary level and beyond. In our ever-evolving global community, they strive to foster competitive edges and bright futures for their students.

A Smooth Transition to Daylight Saving Time

Lastly, we know that daylight saving time can be a bit disorienting. The key is to prepare for the shift gradually by adjusting your sleep routine. You can start by waking up and going to bed 15 minutes earlier a few days before the transition. It’s a small change that could make a big difference in your adjustment.
