Spartanburg County Bridge Closure and Community Transformations This Fall

Spartanburg County’s Bridge Closure Set to Begin This Month

Residents of Spartanburg County, grab your binoculars, for you’re about to witness a transformation. Starting from this September 23rd, the Price House Road bridge, a local landmark over Jimmie’s Creek, will close for repairs.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has rolled out this plan and anticipates that the makeover will take about a month. Set your calendar reminders, folks! By the end of October, the revamped bridge should be ready to reconnect our communities.

Now, not to dampen your spirits, but here’s the deal during the construction phase: Price House Road will primarily be open to local traffic. That poses a little challenge, right? Read on for the solution!

Detours in Place for Smooth Traffic

To ensure that the construction doesn’t cause traffic snarls that disrupt your daily routine, a convenient detour is in place. Drivers will be guided to manoeuvre via Aiken Road, Cross Anchor Road, and Hanna Creek Road. It may be a bit longer route but look at the bright side – you might get to see parts of the county you never explored before!

Spooky Up Your Homes For the Season

While we are on the subject of transformations, let’s not forget the upcoming festive season. It’s time to gear up for a creepy, crawly ambiance in your home. Here’s a tip: Let Alexa lend a hand! A whole host of Alexa skills are ready to set about creating that ghoulish, nightmare-like atmosphere. So why not give it a spin? Your trick-or-treaters will be impressed beyond measure!

Do-It-Yourself Tips for the Home Improvement Enthusiast

Moving apart from the spookiness, here’s a little something for the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) enthusiasts. The chilly winter winds are on the horizon, so it’s time to ramp up your homes. That’s right, I’m talking about weatherizing your windows.

And who better to guide us than the fabulous Beth Allen, founder of Home Improvement Project Chicks (HIP Chicks)? According to the DIY expert, incorporating the smart devices you already own can make weatherizing a breeze.

And there you have it, folks! From bridge repairs to creating scary homes to preparing for winter, we have you covered. Let’s all look forward to enjoying the rest of our fall season in style.
