Hello Spartanburg, exciting changes are on the way!
The always lively Spartanburg, S.C. is seeing some fresh changes around the neighborhood. The Spartanburg County Courthouse is under construction but fret not, as County Officials have laid out a nifty little pedestrian route to make your life as smooth as smooth can be.
With this new game plan, you won’t have to trek around the back of the courthouse just to reach the front door. Just imagine that you’re playing Pac-Man. Your starting point: the parking garage. Your end goal: the front door of the courthouse. All you’ve got to do is follow the pathway sketched across Library Street, and voila, you’re at your destination before you can say “Spartanburg County Courthouse”!
Bear With Us – It’s Temporary
Here’s a heads up though. Starting Monday, September 9, and lasting for about three weeks, the intersection at Magnolia Street and Library Street will be temporarily closed for road construction work. That might seem like a bit of an inconvenience but on the bright side, it’s the perfect opportunity to try out the new route!
The parking garage and lawyers’ offices? They’re still accessible, but only from North Daniel Morgan Avenue. The plan is for approximately three weeks of work, so we’re expecting things to go back to normal around September 30. Hey, Rome wasn’t built in a day, was it?
Moving On to Some Fun Stuff
Alright, let’s take a little detour to some other important matters. The changing season – and yes, our yearning for pumpkin spice lattes, means it’s time to give your summer garden a swift nudge into fall mode. Fill it with crisp autumn colours and an abundance of seasonal produce. Those pumpkins won’t grow themselves, you know!
If you’re a college student, squeezing every inch out of your dorm room space is pretty much an Olympic event. A quick hack though – try switching that mega-sized sofa with a cozier loveseat or even a small sofa. It’s going to free up substantial floor space you never thought you had!
Start Your Holiday Shopping with a Bang
Last but not least, let’s talk decorations. If you aim to be the first one on your block to style your home with the crème de la crème of holiday decorations, you’d better start shopping now. This 12-foot skeleton we heard about – it’s iconic! And trust us, once they’re sold out, you might need another Halloween to get your hands on them again.
So, that’s it for today, Spartanburg. Stay safe, stay informed, and keep doing you!
