Spartanburg County, South Carolina – The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a bomb threat directed at Spartanburg School District 2. The threat was reported through the district’s anonymous reporting system and has raised concerns in the community.

The alarming threat came in the form of a message from an individual identified only as “D” who stated, “I’m gonna bomb a school lmfao.” The threat, although deemed juvenile and vague in nature, prompted immediate action from law enforcement and school officials.

Upon receiving the report, the Director of Security and Student Services at Spartanburg School District 2 notified the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office. The Violent Crimes Unit was promptly mobilized to investigate the threat and ensure the safety of students and staff.

Despite the unsettling threat, the school district has made the decision to proceed with regular operations at several of its facilities. Students are expected to resume activities at Sugar Ridge Elementary, Chesnee High School, Boiling Springs High School, and Boiling Springs Middle School on Monday morning for summer school and camps.
