Spartanburg County Man Faces Multiple Charges for Sexual Exploitation of Minor

Spartanburg County Man Arrested for Sexual Exploitation

If there’s anything that can spoil the friendly vibe of our little corner of the world it’s an announcement like the one we have for you today. Folks, buckle up, because this one’s a bit of a doozy.

Right here in Spartanburg County, a local man has been arrested and is currently behind bars for some really reprehensible acts. The man, a 65-year-old resident of Pacolet, goes by the name of Timothy Curtis Goode. He’s facing some serious charges folks – eight counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of criminal solicitation of a minor.

What Happened?

According to the sheriff’s office, this didn’t start with a bang. It started with a yard job. Seems Goode had hired a boy he knew to do some yard work for him.

Once the work was done, Goode reportedly invited this kid into his house and that’s where things went south. Yet, this story gains another layer of horrific when we move into the details.

Goode is said to have repeatedly asked the boy to expose himself, and even went as far as taking pictures of the child. Despite the uncomfortable situation, the victim felt he had no choice but to comply, fearing he wouldn’t be able to leave otherwise.

And like a regular day, after committing the hideous act, Goode offered snacks and drinks to the boy before taking him back home.

What Now?

With Goode now tucked away behind bars, his mobile phone has been searched. The authorities struck gold – or rather, horror – finding explicit photos of the victim, along with snaps of another unidentified boy. There’s suspicion that this second boy might be a resident of Greenville County.

If you’re guessing whether a bail is on the cards for Goode, well, it’s too early for that. A magistrate has deferred his bond arrangements, passing the ball to a circuit court judge. So for now, Goode’s place remains within the thick walls and iron bars of prison.

What’s Next?

Although this current situation is distressing enough, investigators have a sneaky suspicion that there may be other victims out there. Firm evidence is yet to appear, but the existing discoveries are pointing towards a potential trend of similar depraved acts.

If you or anyone you know might have information on this case, please step forward. Don’t hesitate to contact Investigator Michael Hatch with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force on (864) 503-4509.

Let’s come together as a community and ensure justice for these innocent victims.
