Spartanburg Faces Brief Communication Glitch with Non-Emergency Lines

Spartanburg Briefly Experiences Inaccessible Non-Emergency Lines

In Spartanburg, sometimes intriguing things happen on a regular Tuesday. Now when we say intriguing, we don’t mean anything crazy or dangerous, thankfully. But on September 29, a small hiccup in the community’s communication systems caught everyone by surprise. The county’s non-emergency lines all of a sudden became unavailable.

That’s right. Out of nowhere, residents couldn’t access the non-emergency phone lines. Keep in mind, these lines aren’t your regular emergency calls – we’re talking about the lines that serve all the citizens with non-critical support for their law-enforcement, fire and EMS queries. However, before you go full-on panic mode, let us assure you, the emergency 911 lines continued to function as normal.

Residents Adapt to Temporary Change

The good folks of Spartanburg didn’t skip a beat, dialing 911 for their vital needs during this period, and the traffic in and out of emergency rooms didn’t see a drastic increase – showing just how adaptable our community can be.

We must stress that these sorts of mix-ups are extremely rare and everything possible is being done to rectify the situation.
Rest assured, county officials are working on getting the non-emergency lines back up as soon as possible.

Preparing for Halloween and Caring for Lawns
