Turns out, that call might just be the helping hand from FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) you’ve been waiting for. They’re reaching out to those who applied for aid, and it could be about scheduling an inspection of your damaged house, or just getting more information to process your application.
According to officials, “A FEMA inspection may be required to determine whether a home is safe and livable.” So, if an inspection isn’t scheduled, it’s possible it could hold up the review of your application – a delay no one wants.
Oh, and if you started an application but didn’t finish it, expect a call from them too. They’re not leaving anyone out!
