The popular Va-Du-Mar McMillan Park splash pad in Boiling Springs, Spartanburg County is scheduled for temporary closure as plans for expansion are set to take place. According to officials from the Spartanburg County Parks Department, the splash pad will be closed for several days for construction work.
The officials revealed that parts of the splash pad are experiencing muddy conditions due to high usage. To address this issue, the park’s management team plans to increase the splash pad’s surface area. This construction is designed to improve the park’s facilities, providing a better experience for its numerous visitors.
The splash pad will be temporarily unavailable from Monday, July 15 through to Thursday, July 18, weather permitting. The much-loved family spot, Va-Du-Mar McMillan Park, is located at 591 McMillin Boulevard in Boiling Springs.
In related news, the City of Spartanburg has been asked to repay funding related to another local matter. This development has created a ripple effect across the county, as it may potentially affect future projects and initiatives.
