(PAL) organization has just announced the appointment of Leigh MacDonald as their new Trails Development Director. With years of experience under her belt, MacDonald is set to lead the charge in enhancing Spartanburg’s beautiful trail network.

A New Chapter for Spartanburg’s Trails

For those unfamiliar, PAL manages the stunning Daniel Morgan trail network, a remarkable intertwining web comprising 24 miles of trails that promise adventure at every turn. MacDonald steps into her new role, succeeding Ned Barrett, who played a major part in developing this beloved trail system. This change marks a significant moment for both PAL and the Spartanburg community.

MacDonald brings with her a wealth of experience, having spent seven years at the county planning office, where she honed her skills in environmental management and strategic development. Her educational background includes a degree in Environmental Technology and Management from North Carolina State University, which positions her perfectly for this new venture.

Construction is underway for Milo’s Tea production facility in Moore, which is expected to be up and running by early November. 25 volunteers to help clear debris from the Lower Drayton Trail and the Three Creeks Trail. Downed trees caused notable damage, particularly in areas like Duncan Park and the River Birch Trail. Mary Black Rail Trail, making it a popular choice for those eager to enjoy the outdoors. MacDonald is actively collaborating with Barrett to assess damages and coordinate ongoing clean-up efforts for all local trails.
