As spring blooms in Anderson, Spartanburg, and Greenville, residents and visitors alike are gearing up for a series of upbeat, vibrant festivals. These events, which range from cycling races to music concerts, food fests, and art displays, are set to bring communities together and celebrate the diversity and creativity of the Upstate region.

Hub City Hog Fest and Spring Fling

Spring Fling opens its doors on April 26, 27, and 28 in downtown Spartanburg. The festival kicks off with the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System’s Criterium cycling race and offers a wide range of activities including a car show, live performances, food court, artist market, craft beer experience, a Jeep show, and a dedicated family zone. Artisphere

Art enthusiasts should not miss Artisphere, celebrating its 20th anniversary from May 10-12 in downtown Greenville. This thrilling art experience spans from Court Street to Wardlaw and Main and includes a variety of music performances, artisan displays, and food vendors. The event starts at noon on May 10.

Soiree in Anderson

Soiree, a two-day festival in downtown Anderson, kicks off at 4 p.m. on April 26 and extends till April 27. With live music, food trucks, local vendors and creative kids zone, it promises a gala time to residents and visitors alike. “Long Black Train” singer, Josh Turner, is set to headline a concert on April 26.

Community Food Truck Night and Foodees Food and Culture Festival

Community Food Truck Night on April 15 at Anderson County Farmer’s Market marks the International Network of Michelin Cities Conference with local delights from Kodesh BBQ & Bowls, Mac Attack, Matty’s Patty’s, Pound Cake Man, and Rad Dad’s Barbecue. The Foodees Food and Culture Festival follows at Anderson Mall from April 19-21 featuring live entertainment and kid-friendly activities besides food trucks.

South Carolina’s Chili Cookoff, Mauldin Blues & Jazz, and More

Belton City Square hosts the South Carolina State Chili Cookoff on April 20 where contestants prepare their chili recipes from scratch for judging. The Mauldin Blues & Jazz Festival on April 20 features live acts on the main stage and food trucks to satiate hunger pangs. Meanwhile, a vibrant celebration of the local Cambodian community unfolds at the Cambodian New Year Festival on April 13 at the Spartanburg Buddhist Center.

Fiesta Festival, R and B Wine Festival and South Bend Winery Spring Festival

Continuing the energetic lineup, Mezcal’s 4th Annual Fiesta Festival takes center stage on May 4 at Barnet Park in Spartanburg, while a unique R & B Wine Festival buzzes in Greenville on April 21. In Greenwood, the South Bend Winery Spring Festival on April 13 features live country music performances, food trucks and vendors.
