This unique performance gives audiences a chance to see the wildly eccentric personalities of two iconic names in comedy, known for timeless characters such as Ed Grimley, Jiminy Glick, and the “wild and crazy guy”.
Steve Martin, known for films like “The Jerk,” “Planes, Trains and Automobiles,” and “Father of the Bride,” and his counterpart, Martin Short, famed for his work on television shows like SCTV and Saturday Night Live, have a long history together. The duo has appeared together in several shows and movies, including the widely popular Hulu series Only Murders in the Building alongside pop superstar Selena Gomez.
According to an official press release, Martin and Short’s partnership dates back to the set of their 1986 film “The Three Amigos.” Their first live show together was “A Very Stupid Conversation,” launched in 2015. A few of their other tours like “An Evening You Will Forget for the Rest of Your Life” have also been recorded and are available for audiences worldwide.
Additionally, the show will feature the Steep Canyon Rangers, a three-time Grammy-nominated North Carolina-based group. Known for their incredible musical ability, they have released several albums in collaboration with Steve Martin. Also accompanying the comedic duo will be Jeff Babko, musical arranger and composer for “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” who has been working with Martin Short since 2002.
