Hey, wrestling fans! The wait is finally over! TNA Wrestling is making its eagerly awaited return to Spartanburg, S.C. for two nights of high-octane professional wrestling. Get ready to mark your calendars for Friday and Saturday, September 27-28. The fun doesn’t just stop there! All the action will be happening right at the historic Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium, known among longtime fans as a former stop for the Jim Crockett Promotions.
This is the first time since 2012 that TNA is returning to Spartanburg, with previous events featuring unforgettable matches like Jeff Hardy vs. Austin Aries and James Storm vs. Bobby Roode. Guess what? This event would also be taped for TNA’s flagship weekly TV show, iMPACT!, which airs every Thursday at 8 p.m. EST on AXS TV in the U.S. and Fight Network in Canada. Now that’s what you call a treat!
You heard it right, folks! The Hardys – our beloved brothers Jeff and Matt Hardy – will be in Spartanburg on Tuesday & Wednesday, September 24-25, to speak with the media about the Spartanburg shows and make appearances throughout the Carolinas. Besides The Hardys, all TNA stars will be taking over Spartanburg, including renowned wrestlers like Nic Nemeth, Jordynne Grace, Joe Hendry, Eric Young, Ash By Elegance and Moose. And that’s not all! Mike Santana, AJ Francis, Josh Alexander, Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards, Frankie Kazarian, ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey), and many others are also scheduled to make an appearance. This is undoubtedly going to be an event to remember.
Jeff and Matt Hardy have been wrestling professionally since 1993, gathering countless championships over the decades. Did you know that WWE named The Hardys as one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history? They are the only team to have held the WWE/World, WCW, TNA, ROH, Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships. They’re not only top-notch professional wrestlers, they’re also writers! They co-wrote an autobiographical book back in 2003, which made it to the New York Times best-seller list! That’s not a common feat in the wrestling world, is it?
Both brothers, Jeff and Matt Hardy, share a dynamic approach to pro wrestling, with their high-risk, high-energy attitude setting them apart from the rest. Outside the ring, Jeff is known for his passion for motocross, music, and painting. He made his TNA debut in 2004 in a match against A.J. Styles for the TNA X Division Championship and has been the TNA World Champion three times
While Jeff is a daredevil, Matt is no less! Matt Hardy’s unique “Broken” gimmick made its debut in 2016 and has been well-received, bagging multiple Best Gimmick Awards. Matt made his TNA debut in 2011 in a match against Rob Van Dam and is a two-time TNA World Champion. He’s also a sports enthusiast and played baseball and football while growing up in North Carolina.
