The Honda CRV then swerved off the left side of the road, careening through the median, and finally colliding head-on with a westbound Chrysler van.

During the course of the accident, debris from the collision resulted in damage to three other vehicles that were also on the road at the time. The tragic incident led to the immediate death of the drivers of the Honda CRV and the Chrysler van.
