Upstate Gears Up for Exciting Veterans Day Celebrations and Discounts

Upstate Celebrates Veterans Day in Style

Get ready Upstate! Veterans Day is right around the corner and we’ve rolled out the red carpet to honor those who have served our country. From parades to discounts galore, the weekend of Nov. 8 – Nov. 11 is going to be filled with joy, gratitude, and celebrations in honor of our veterans.

Fun-Filled Parades and Honoring Ceremonies

First off, we’re kicking things off with the Anderson County Veterans Day Parade taking place on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 3 p.m. on South McDuffie Street. Not just a regular parade, this one’s jam-packed with horseback riding, karaoke, games, music, and food. Talk about a fiesta!

But that’s not all! Join us at Universal Unity Ranch (3831 Keys St., Anderson) on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to honor veterans. Adults can indulge in tasty food for just $10, while children seven and under can do so for just $5.

We’re also stoked about the town of Honea Path’s Veterans Day Parade, organized with love by the Honea Path Events Planning Committee and the Town of Honea Path. It’s happening on Saturday, Nov. 9 and starts at 10.a.m on Main Street. Don’t miss it!

Family-Friendly Celebrations and Sight-Seers’ Delight

Make way for a family-friendly event at Fluor Field at the West End in downtown Greenville on Sunday, Nov. 11. A concert, military programming, vintage warbirds flyover, and a spectacular fireworks show, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Gates open at 3 p.m., so make sure to come early and secure the best spots!

To commemorate the services of our ill and injured veterans, the Veterans Day Monument Dedication Ceremony is being hosted by the Frank Montgomery #3 Disabled Veterans (DAV). Starting from 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 11, at Veteran’s Pointe Memorial Park (81 West Park Drive, Spartanburg), this ceremony is followed by refreshing treats.

And now, what we all have been waiting for — the mind-blowing deals this Veterans Day. From breakfast deals at Denny’s and Wendy’s, irresistible lunch combos at Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar, Little Caesar’s Pizza, and Twin Peaks; to tantalizing giveaway drinks and doughnuts at Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Krispy Kreme – there is something for every taste and preference!
