Good news, burger enthusiasts! Spartanburg has welcomed its second Whataburger location to the community, bringing its iconic burgers, fries and shakes a little closer to you. This marks another stepping stone in the brand’s strategic expansion in the Upstate, making it one of eight outlets promised for 2024.
The new Whataburger, located at 1510 W.O. Ezell Boulevard on the west side of Spartanburg, opened its doors to eager customers on Monday, November 4, at 11 a.m. According to representatives, the first two patrons in line at the drive-thru window and those waiting to be seated in the dining room, were each gifted with free Whataburger for an entire year! Now, that’s quite a warm Southern welcome, wouldn’t you say?
Apart from offering its well-loved menu, the opening day celebration at the Whataburger was quite the event. The next 200 customers who stepped foot in this new location took home some hip Whataburger swag. Surely, the aroma of fresh, sizzling burgers must have been extra tantalizing knowing that exclusive goodies were also part of the deal!
Whataburger, with its iconic orange and white motif, is more than just a fast-food brand, it’s a rich Texas tradition. Founded back in 1950, this fast-food chain has carved a unique place in the hearts and bellies of diners with its distinctive, made-to-order burgers and commitment to delivering fresh, high-quality food. Its growing presence in the Upstate is a testament to the brand’s ability to resonate with food lovers, so it’s perhaps no surprise that Spartanburg residents have warmly welcomed another outlet to their locale.
As we move into the final stretch of 2024, it’s clear that Spartanburg’s fast food scene is beefing up in a big way. The second Whataburger location is a sign of things to come, as the brand has announced that it plans to open six more outlets by the end of the year. Whether you’re a long-time Whataburger fan, or yet to experience their juicy burgers and decadent shakes, it’s clear that there’s a fast-food revolution happening, right here in our city.
